My name is Jeremy Simpson, I am an ex New Zealand golf representative. I teach short game at my purpose built practice facility at our home in rural Carterton. It is a relaxing and private atmosphere perfect for improving your game. I spent five years teaching golf at a public driving range and enjoy sharing my knowlege and solving problems with my pupils. When it comes down to it the short game (chipping, pitching, sand shots and putting) plays a large part in the ability to score well in golf. If you gave any tour professional the choice between being the best ball striker or the best short game proponent the answer would invariably be best short game. Tour professionals spend at least 60% of their practise time around the green, they understand the value of a solid short game. So, what can I do for you? The first thing I'll teach you is a routine to play each stroke, starting with assessing the lie, the firmness and slope of the green. Once the type of shot is decided, I will teach you how to get correctly set-up. Finally I can help with what should be going through your mind as you play the stroke. I cater my lessons to the ability and needs of each student, you will not be bombarded with overly technical information. My job is to get your short game working more reliably to lower your score.
