Martinborough New Zealand Colonial Museum

The Martinborough Colonial Museum is situated on the town Square and is well worth a visit. The 1894 building, which originally housed the town library, was opened in 1979 as a fully furnished two bedroomed Victorian home.

Aside from the display of Victorian artifacts the Museum houses a well captioned display of Moa bones from the Wairarapa coast, books, photographs and papers relating to the settlement of Martinborough and all sorts of interesting things relating to the region.

The Museum is open from 2pm to 4pm Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and school holidays.

Admission to the Museum is by donation
